Entry applications are being accepted
for the 38th Annual Independent Bank and Jaycees Santa
Parade. The deadline for applications is November
3, 2006. The fee for entries postmarked on or before Nov.
3 is $40 (non-profits) or $75 (corporate). The fee for
entries postmarked after Nov. 3 is $65 (non-profits)
or $100 (corporate). The entry fee for marching bands,
military & municipal rescue units, and sponsors
will be waived. Entries will not be accepted after
Nov. 10.
Programs listing the entries will
be distributed to spectators the day of the parade.
Entries received after the deadline are not guaranteed
to be listed in the program. It is strongly
encouraged that entries adhere to the parade theme,
"Santa's Toyland", or be decorated in accordance
with the holiday.

Entries will be judged in three categories:
Best Open Entry, Best Corporate Entry and Best Marching
Band. Best Open Entry and Best Corporate Entry judging
will start at 9 am in the staging areas before
the parade. Band Directors: Please note that
band judging will take place during the parade. If your
organization does not wish to be judged, please indicate
so on your application.
