About Us: Organizational Structure

Region & District

The Jaycee organization has a hierarchical structure with a breakdown as follows:

  International
    National
      State
        Region
          District
            Chapter

The Michigan Jaycees have the state sectioned into eight Regions (A - H). The regions are broken down by county boundaries. The basic breakup is:

Region A - Upper Peninsula
Region B - Northwest Michigan
Region C - West Michigan
Region D - Central Michigan
Region E - Northeast Michigan
Region F - East Michigan
Region G - South Central Michigan
Region H - Southeast

Grand Rapids belongs to Region C. Region C is sectioned into three districts and has a Region Director, which oversees the region. District C-1 consists of Grand Rapids, Greater Muskegon, Grand Haven, Greater Coopersville, Oceana, and Muskegon Correctional Facility (didn't know they had a chapter, did you??). Kentwood, Rockford, South Haven and Wyoming belong to District C-2. District C-3 has Holland, Allegan, Hastings, and Twin Cities. Each of these districts has a director that oversees chapters.
